If your Internet connection is Dial up, DSL or Cable then chances are that your IP address changes from time to time. In order for you to have a domain name (eg. www.mydomain.com) it has to be mapped to your IP address.

Most Domain Name Hosting services do not allow for dynamic ipaddress updates so we are able to provide this service using RenasoftDomains.com.

In order to use this feature you must have your domains registered at RenasoftDomains.com. You can purchase domain names at our site or you can transfer your domains to our service and then use this tool to keep your domains and IP address synchronized.

Domain Names and IP Address Information

Domain names are Names that you assign to your Web site. This is so that people all over the world can use that name to access your website from their browser. For example www.renasoft.com is our domain name.

Every Internet connection has an IP address. This is an address of where your computer is on the internet. So in order for your Domain name to work it must be mapped to your IP address.

Domain Names are mapped to your IP address on the internet of where your web site is. That way when people enter your domain name into their browsers the browser will be able to discover the address of the web site and then start communicating with your web site.

Most home internet address are Dynamic, which means they change from time to time. If your IP address changes then your domain name will not point to the correct location and people will not be able to get to your web site.

To solve this problem, you can purchase a Domain Name from RenasoftDomains that will allow you to update the IP address easily when it changes. This way you can keep your domain name and your Ipaddress mapped correctly.

Our Personal Site server administration panel was specifically designed to work with the RenasoftDomains service so it is easy to use and once you have it configured it is one click to update your ipaddress.

If have a domain name already you can transfer it to the RenasoftDomains site so you can use the Personal Site Server Administration tool to manage your Domain an Ipaddress.

If you do not have a Domain name you can purchase one at http://www.renasoftdomains.com

The rest of this page only applies if you have a domain name registered with Renasoft Domains or you are going to purchase one.
