This drop down box has the list of folders that you are permitted to access.
If you are permitted you may save your created pages as templates or as web pages.
- The Personal folder is where you save your own personal web pages.
If correct permissions are set you can access these pages using the URL http://yourdomain.xxx/~alias/pagename.asp
- The Common Pages folder is a special folder where every page saved in there is treated as a personal page for every member of the site.
- The Public Templates folder is used as a repository for templates that any of the site members can grab/modify and save as their own web pages.
- The Site Templates folder is used as a repository for templates that only authorized persons can grab/modify and save as web pages.
- The Site Pages folder is used for Site level web pages.

This box contains the name of the page that is being created. Or the name of the page that was last loaded. In order to save a page with a name, enter the name in this box and click on the Green Arrow next to the box. The page will be saved in the folder specified in the "Folders" drop down (If you are authorized) other wise it will give you an error message. If you see an error message then you can only save the page in the "Personal Pages" folder.

This Drop down contains the names of all the pages in the current folder. As you select different folders using the "Folders" Drop down, this list changes. If you wish to load one of these pages into the work area, then select the item from the drop down and then click on the red arrow next to the box to load it into the work area.

This Drop down, contains a list of all the Folders within the in the Location you have selected. From the Home folder you can drill down to select or create new folders.

This button takes you to the InstaFlash Help information page.

This button exits the InstaFlash application back to the Default page.

This button changes the InstaFlash control panel skin to a new skin type.

Below describes the functions for the First Row of buttons on the Web Designer Window.

This button does a page refresh. Sometimes, this it is necessary to refresh everything, depending upon the browser or version of the browser you are using.

This button toggles a Grid (On and OFF) in your work area so you can align your components, text or other objects on the page. You can still move objects around in your work area even if they appear behind the Grid.

This button toggles the "Selected Border" (On and Off).
When you click on a component or object it becomes "Selected". When selected a Yellow Dotted box appears around the component. Sometimes this yellow box gets in the way and you may wish to turn off the yellow dotted box.

This button opens a new window called the "Components window". This New Window contains many of the Components that are used to create web pages. You will need to open this window every time you are creating web pages.

This button adds a text box to your work area. You are prompted to enter the text you wish and format it as you please.
You can set font sizes, colors, links, add pictures and much more using the Text editor.

This button adds a Shadowed text box to your work area. You are prompted to enter the text you wish and format it as you please.
You can set font sizes, colors, links, add pictures and much more using the Text editor.

This button adds a Scrolling text box to your work area. You are prompted to enter the text you wish and format it as you please.
You can set font sizes, colors, links, add pictures and much more using the Text editor.

This button adds one to many images to your work area. Using the Drag and drop tool you can set the image sizes and borders.

This button adds a picture like frame to your work area. You can define the color and border width and type. There is even a Rainbow border and background.

This button allows you to add an image link to your work area. So you can use any image as a button and then when a user clicks on the image the user is sent to the URL that you have specified.

This button allows you to add a vertical or horizontal menu to your work area. You can specify many designer options like font size, colors, back ground color, spacing and mouse over effects.

This button adds a map link image to your work area. When you have entered the address of where the map should show then the result is an image with a link that takes the user to a web page that shows the actual map.

This button allows your to preview the current working page. You can print the page from the browser at this point.
|
|
This button clears the entire work area so you can start fresh when building a new web page.
|

This button shows and hides the Instant Help Panel that appears below the control panel.

Below describes the functions for the Second Row of buttons on the Web Designer Window.
In order to see or use these buttons you must have first
selected an existing component on the designer page

Many of the "Active Objects" need to be configured in order to customize them to your liking. When you wish to configure an "Active Object" just select the component and then click on this button. A configuration window will appear where you may change any of the available settings. When finished just click on "save" and it will return to the Web Designer.

This button Toggles the Scrollbars for the Component (On and OFF). If you have resized your component but the contents do not fit into the area you provided then scroll bars will appear. If you do not wish for the scroll bars to be visible then you can turn them off using this button.

This button opens a new window called the "Variations Selector". This New Window shows a list of possible Color Variations of the object that has been selected.
For "Active Objects" this will show variations of the "Frame" around the object. For "Static Objects" this will show many different colors of the object. Most objects have thousands of color variations. If you don't see the one you like then you can click on the "More" button to see more variations.

This button allows you to configure extended options that are available on the objects. Features like visibility, fade-in and fade-out effects.
|

This button will "Clone" or create a copy of any component that is selected in the work area. This will not only clone the object but clone any children of the object also.
|

It is possible to have some objects in front of or in back of other objects. Consequently it is possible for them to become hidden. You can use this button to send the selected object to the back of all other objects. Then the hidden object will appear in front of the selected object.

This button toggles the Lock on objects (On and Off). When a component is locked it is not re-sizeable or moveable. As you work on your web page you may find that you wish for certain components to be lock into place and not move if you click on them.

This button toggles the Color Lock on objects (On and Off). When a component is Color locked you cannot select a new variation of it.
|
|
This button marks an object as a parent object. This is indicated by a solid Yellow box around the object. This allows you to select another object and set it as a child object of the parent. Or to replicate it's variation color to another object. To mark an object as a Parent object, first "Select" the object and then click on this button. After that you may set another object as it's child. When an object is a child of another object it will never "disappear" behind it when you click on the parent. It will also move with the parent object, when the parent object is dragged elsewhere.

This button allows you to set the selected object to be a child of the Selected Parent Object. See "Mark as Parent" button above. Once you have "Marked the Parent" you can select another object and then click on this button to set it as the child of the parent. This is a very useful function as it allows you to move the parent object around and the children remain in their relative positions to the parent.

This button allows you to set an object variation close to another objects variation. First you mark the Parent Object. See mark as parent button above. Once you have "Marked the Parent" you can select another object and then click on this button to set to copy the Parents "Variation colors" and apply them to the selected object. This saves you time when trying to match up colors on different objects. This only works if the parent object is a variation and not the original.

This button allows you to save objects into your personal clipboard. Select any object, even one that has children, then click on this button. You will be prompted for a name to save the object with. Enter a name then click ok. The object will appear in the "Components panel" under Clipboard objects.

This button deletes an object from the work area. You first select the object and then click on this button to remove it from the work area. Alternately (depending upon the browser) you may be able to depress the "Delete" key to remove the object from the work area.
