This Panel is used to add RSS (Really Simple Syndication) News feeds to the site. Once RSS Feeds have been added they can be used in the Web Designer. The RSS components can be added to any page you design bringing fresh news to any web page. There are many thousands of RSS feeds available on the Internet for free consumption. Using this panel, defining them to the site is really simple.
Most of the time, all you have to do is copy the RSS url to the RSS-URL are and click on the Test button to see what you get. Then use the Options to filter and format the Feed to your liking.

- RSS Configuration Panel
- RSS-URL - This is the URL to the Actual RSS Feed. Usually this is all you need to provide. After entering the URL click on the TEST button. Change the Options until your satisfied with the FEED and then click on the Save button when your done.
- Or Load - This Drop Down contains RSS urls that have already been defined to the system. You may wish to load one and re-configure the options at times.
- Title - This is the Title of the RSS feed. Most RSS feeds come with a Title already specified in the feed. If it is present in the Feed it will be inserted here when the Test button is clicked on.
- Include - This is an Article filter. You can enter words in here that must be in the article in order to be listed in the results.
- Exclude - This is an Article filter. You can enter words in here that must NOT be in the article in order for it to be listed in the results.
- Options - You can specify options to configure the RSS results to your liking.
NoDesc - Removes the text Description from the article leaving the Title.
NoPub - Removes the Publishers information from the articles.
Spacer - Inserts a blank line between articles for readability.
Line Sep - Inserts some space and a line between articles for readability.
NoBreaks - Causes the article text to appear right next to the title instead of the next line down.
No-Ads - Tries to remove imbedded advertising inside the RSS feed.
NoLinks - Tries to remove all "Linked" items inside the article except the title.
NoImages - Tries to remove all imbedded images in the RSS feed.
- Refesh Min - Specifies the amount of time the RSS feed will not be refreshed. The Information is saved on Disk and used until the specified time has been expired, at which time the RSS feed is refreshed the next time it is needed for presentation.
- Actions -
Test - This tests the RSS feed to make sure it is operational and to fill in the title if the title is not present.
Save - When your happy with the results of the Feed then you can click on this button to save the configuration off. The RSS feeds become available in the Web Developer when you use the RSS components.
Clear - This button clears and resets the Panel so that another RSS feed can be defined.
- Test Display Area - When you click on the Test button the results of gathering and formatting the RSS feed are presented here.
